It all started in 1989 with a vision of one man, an entrepreneur named Fuad Mohammed Jalal. He set out to create a customer-focused specialized group of professionals who would initiate the spread & growth of barcodes as a means of improving the efficiency and productivity of businesses. The sceptics were not impressed but he remained focused on the conviction that the GCC countries were at the threshold of an information technology revolution and that bar codes provided the ideal vehicle for translating raw data into vital information. He was right all along!! Today, his vision is called Data Capture Systems, a group of 135+ professionals (and still growing!) across 9 offices in the region. 

Data Capture Systems (DCS) is now a leading provider of business enabling solutions in the field of Automatic Identification and Data Capture (AIDC) using Barcoding, RFID, Wireless, GPS, Voice, Sensor and Biometric based technologies. Headquartered in Dubai, DCS has branch offices located in UAE (Dubai & Abu Dhabi), Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman and Saudi Arabia (Riyadh – Jeddah – Al Khobar).
